Members are entitled to attend all our lectures free of charge and receive Newsletters, currently twice a year, and the occasional publication Miscellany, which contains longer reports and articles. We encourage members to take part in various projects, which may result in publication. The society occasionally run visits which may tie in with recent lectures. The membership year runs from September to May, but you can join at any time. The easiest way to join is at a meeting. Standing order forms will be available. They can be presented to your bank or used for telephone or internet banking. We do not give banking details here as this is not a secure site.Subscriptions for 2011-12 season areSingle membership £8 (£7 by standing order)Joint membership (same address)£12.00 (£10 by standing order)Subscriptions will rise for the 2012-1013 season to Single member£11 (£10 by Standing Order)Joint members (same address)£17 (£15 by Standing Order)It is hoped that this jump will stave off annual increases for a few years, but lecturer fees are rising sharply, and other costs also rising. If you start a new standing order now we can build in the change so that you do not have to remember. We will be writing to members who already have standing orders in good time for the change.Page last updated 24 September 2011
