Brief titles of past programmes are given here. Reports have been written for some years for inclusion in the Wilts and Glos Standard, and for the past few years have been gathered annually in the Society’s Newsletter. We have information on the titles and speakers at the annual Croome Lecture since it started in 1969, but very little on the other lectures of early years. If you have old programmes, we would be interested in seeing them.September 2010- Free Public MeetingSecond Annual Heritage Open Days Lecture The Quaker Influence on Cirencester's History- Wendy Lloyd-SweetWarden Friends Meeting House CirencesterSeptember 2010New Finds and Displays at The Corinium Museum - Dr Alison Brooks Archaeological Officer Corinium MuseumOctober 2010Archaeological Finds on the new Kingshill Development - Edward Biddulph: Oxford ArchaeologyNovember 2010Road Travel & Transport in Georgian GloucestershireNicholas Herbert, formerly Editor of Victoria County History of GloucestershireJanuary 2011World War 2 Defences at Aston Down - Diana Wall: Minchinhampton History GroupFebruary 2011The Croome Lecture - Jointly sponsored with Cirencester Civic Society since 1969Sharpness Docks, Past Present and Future - Dr Ray Wilson 16th March 2011 Joint Lecture with Cirencester Science and Technology SocietyThe Geo-archaeology of the Severn Estuary - Professor Martin Bell University of Reading19 March 2011 Visit to Aston Down Airfield30th March 2011 Cotswold Archaeology Annual LectureThe Staffordshire Hoard Kevin Leahy ; National Finds Advisor, Portable Antiquities SchemeApril 2011Current Developments at Chedworth Roman Villa - Mark George Project Activity Manager, National TrustMay 2011 Summer Meeting and Annual General MeetingThe Gardens of the Cotswolds Tony Russell, Garden Lecturer and writer 2009-10 Season of activitiesReports will be found in Newsletter 52September 2009Heritage Open Days Public Lecture- sponsored by CAHSThe History of the Salvation Army Hall - David GraceSeptember 2009Corn Hall Excavations - Laurie Coleman Cotswold ArchaeologyOctober 2009The Purton Ships Graveyard - Paul BarnettNovember 2009The Wiggold Project: from early prehistory to the present day - Professor Tim DarvillWiggold is a small hamlet at the centre of Abbey Home Farm CirencesterJanuary 2010William Morris and Kelmscott Manor - Tristan Molloy and Jane Milne, Property ManagersFebruary 2010 The Croome Lecture -Jointly held with the Cirencester Civic Society.
